The Valley Railroad operates the only Steam Train & Riverboat connection in the country featuring passenger service on the vintage coaches of the Essex Steam Train.

Hartford’s Bushnell Park was the brainchild of the revolutionary theologian Reverand Horace Bushnell. Among his many controversial views at the time, including moving away from rigid intellectual orthodoxy toward humanity’s more spiritual nature, was the idea that people need open public spaces.

The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch located in Harford’s Bushnell Park and designed by Hartford-based architect George Keller.
